International Education Associates provides advice and consultation on: international educational exchange for students and faculty; college and university study abroad; international student programs; and, international contract education. Dr. Donald R. Culton directed international education for the Los Angeles Community College District from l977 to l998, and served as Director of International Projects for Saddleback and Irvine Valley Colleges from l999 to 2002. He also served as a Dean of Academic Affairs for Los Angeles City College and Los Angeles Harbor College, where he is now retired as an Instructor of History and Political Science. Under his direction the International Student Program of the Los Angeles Community Colleges increased from 750 visa students to 3,000. His office administered over 25 study abroad programs yearly, serving more than 5,000 students in twenty years. After two years of assistance, Saddleback College was one of the top six community colleges in the nation in numbers of students sent abroad. For over a decade Dr. Culton acted as Executive Secretary of California Colleges for International Education, a consortium of community colleges that has helped many colleges in developing an international perspective and presence (www.ccieworld.org).
