The Pontifical University of Salamanca (UPSA) comes from a tradition that began with the founding of the University system of Salamanca in the year 1218. One of the two excellent providers of study abroad programs, UPSA is exceptional in its offering of small class sizes with a faculty that offers Spanish, history, literature, and culture classes at all levels of study. In a building that dates from the 16th century, the University occupies what was and still is a cathedral, making it a beautiful place to study. Many of the classrooms are accented with classical art adorning the ceilings. Situated in the center of the city and home to one of the best views, UPSA offers a great place to begin the day in warm Salamanca.
